The state conventions are over, and the fields are locked in for Utah's four congressional primaries. The June 23rd primary is eight weeks away, and in some of these races, that may not be enough time for the underdog candidates to close the gap.

Here are the key things to watch.

**CD1** is the marquee Democratic primary. Ben McAdams enters with $860,000 in the bank, strong name ID, and a track record voters recognize. Liban Mohamed pulled off a surprise win at the Democratic convention, but convention delegates and primary voters are very different animals. The other factor that could scramble the math: Utah Democrats have an open primary, meaning independents and Republicans can request a Democratic ballot—as long as they don't vote in the Republican primary.

**CD2** features the now-familiar sight of Blake Moore being forced into a primary. Karianne Lisonbee got it done at convention, but she's facing Moore's massive $2.4 million campaign war chest and just eight weeks to introduce herself to voters outside her legislative district.

**In CD3,** Celeste Maloy and Phil Lyman nearly split the delegate vote at the convention 50/50\. Maloy has almost $500,000 in the bank. Lyman has raised less than $5,000\. But Lyman has name ID that her last Republican challenger didn't—and that challenger almost beat her in 2024.

**CD4** is mostly a non-event. Mike Kennedy won the GOP nomination outright and is a heavy favorite in November.
