Susan Lee, a Republican running for Davis County Commission, has removed a photo of herself with her son, former state Rep. Trevor Lee, from her campaign website. He resigned from the Legislature last month after being charged with four felonies.

On the “About” page, a photo of the two standing together in the Utah State Capitol has been replaced with one of Susan Lee with former House Speaker Greg Hughes and podcast host Jon Harvey. An archived version of the page from April shows the original photo. The new photo is the only change to the page.

Susan Lee did not respond to questions or a request for comment.

Brett Milburn, Susan Lee's opponent on November's ballot, said he found the photo swap curious.

"To me, the action speaks for itself," Milburn said.

Milburn served three terms on the Davis County Commission from 2007 to 2018.

The Utah Attorney General’s Office charged Trevor Lee last month with felonies related to mortgage fraud and forgery. Prosecutors allege he used false information and fake documents to obtain a $1 million refinance loan. He resigned his House seat that same day.

The replacement photo includes Harvey, whose podcast Trevor Lee appeared on in 2022 while first running for the Legislature. During that interview, Trevor Lee used a transphobic slur to refer to Gov. Spencer Cox.

Susan Lee has not removed every reference to her son. A photo of the two at the Capitol earlier this year remains on her campaign Facebook page, captioned, “I was at the Capital (sic) yesterday and ran into my favorite legislator.”
